MVG-2206
Hybrid multiviewer with SDI/IP capability.
A 1RU IP/SDI hybrid multiviewer supporting up to 32 4K inputs via 4×100G ST 2110 ports and 16-channel 12G-SDI, delivering four independently configurable multiview outputs with built-in signal monitoring, alarm, tally and audio processing for studios, master control and OB vans.

Overview
MVG-2206 is a high-density 1RU broadcast multi-view monitoring unit designed for hybrid IP-SDI broadcast infrastructures. It accepts up to 32 4K/HD sources through quad 100G ST 2110 media ports and 16 bidirectional 12G-SDI channels, with four independent multi-view processing channels that simultaneously output SDI and HDMI signals, each switchable between 4K and HD resolution. Compliant with SMPTE ST 2110 and NMOS standards, it supports PTP and analog reference clock synchronization, integrates Tally/UMD, audio meters, clocks and signal fault alarms, and offers flexible layout control via web interface, front panel and GPI for master control rooms, studios and OB vehicle monitoring workflows.
Challenge
Hybrid plants monitor two worlds at once: ST 2110 flows on 100G fabric and legacy SDI feeds on coax, with different formats, color spaces, and sync references — and the monitor wall has to show all of it, correctly labeled, in real time.
Split infrastructure
IP and SDI monitoring traditionally need separate multiviewer chains, doubling rack space and configuration.
Wall density
Control rooms want more sources per screen without losing the audio meters, tally, and clocks operators rely on.
Label and tally sync
Source names and tally states change through the production — walls that lag the switcher mislead the gallery.
Format diversity
4K next to HD, HDR next to SDR, different gamuts in adjacent windows — each needs its own conversion to look right.
Solution
The MVG-2206 monitors both sides of the plant from one unit.
Key Features
- High-density hybrid signal input — Max 32-channel 4K/HD input — 4×100G QSFP28 for ST 2110 IP streams plus 16 configurable 12G-SDI I/O.
- Four independent multi-view processors — Simultaneous SDI + HDMI output per channel, with freely switchable 4K/HD output resolution.
- Broadcast standard compliance — SMPTE ST 2110 series, ST 2022-7, NMOS IS-04/05, with PTP and Bi/Tri-Level reference clock sync.
- Rich monitoring overlay — UMD, Tally, audio meters, clocks and multi-window layout templates; a single source can be duplicated across multiple windows.
- Automatic signal detection and alarm — Alerts for signal loss, black frames, frozen frames and silent audio.
- Audio processing — Separate 8-channel analog and AES digital audio input, with audio channel binding for on-screen meter display.
- Flexible control — Layout switching and one-touch full-screen zoom via Web UI, front panel and GPI triggers; LTC/NTP time synchronization and TSL 5.0 tally linkage.
- Hardware design — 1RU compact chassis, redundant power supply, complete audio, RS422, GPIO/Tally and management Ethernet ports.

Scenarios
- Signal monitoring for TV station master control rooms and multi-functional studios.
- Hybrid IP/SDI signal preview in OB vans and outdoor live production.
- Large-scale multi-camera live broadcast monitoring for sports, galas and news events.
- Playout system integrated multi-view monitoring with automatic signal fault alerting.

Result
One 1RU unit watches the whole hybrid plant — 32 channels of 4K across IP and SDI on four independent walls, with names, tally, and alarms that keep pace with the production.
Channels of 4K/HD input across ST 2110 and 12G-SDI.
Independently configurable multiview processing channels.
Channels of bi-directional IP/SDI conversion.
Rack height — 45 mm, 160 W, with redundant power.
