On June 13th, the "2024 Beijing International Television Technology Symposium (ITTC2024)," hosted by the China Film and Television Technology Society, was successfully held. Themed "A Vibrant Vision, A Smart Future," ITTC2024 brought together over 500 representatives, including leaders from the State Administration of Radio and Television, China Media Group, numerous radio and television stations nationwide, industry experts and scholars, and innovative technology companies, to discuss the path to innovation and upgrading of the audiovisual industry and jointly build a new intelligent all-media landscape.

Chen Zhi, General Manager of Sobey's Professional Media Business Unit, was invited to attend and delivered a keynote speech entitled "Video Program Production Engine Adapted to Media Technology," sharing Sobey's achievements in media technology innovation driven by artificial intelligence and exploring how AI can deeply promote new media productivity.

Deepening AI Applications and Optimizing Media Production Processes
Chen Zhi said:
The rapid development of large language models has further promoted the implementation of generative AI in the broadcasting industry and is constantly reshaping the way media content is produced.
Since 2016, Sobey has been committed to researching and expanding the application scenarios of artificial intelligence in key aspects of professional media technology production, such as media asset management, manuscript generation, and non-linear editing systems, and has independently developed and launched several intelligent auxiliary production products and solutions.
Against the backdrop of rapid breakthroughs in Generative AI technology, the mainstream application of AI in media has rapidly evolved from media assets to production scenarios, and the core aspects of media will usher in an AI revolution. Generative AI has entered the video production field, with the key being its controllability and integration into the workflow. Regarding controllable video generation, Sobey has relevant technical practices in areas such as video style transfer, horizontal to vertical conversion, video background replacement, video extension, and video transition generation. In terms of workflow integration, Sobey has launched the industry's first AI-native video production tool adapted to media processes—APE.

- The industry's first AI-native video production tool adapted to media processes, supporting plug-in algorithm model access and multi-agent collaboration;
- Centered on story scripts, using a "declarative" language, it enables user-controllable video program generation;
- Based on generative artificial intelligence technology, it enables the creation of program elements such as scripts, video clips, graphics, and voice-over;
- Based on the media domain model Mingmou, Copilot was implemented, enabling multimodal content generation and cross-modal retrieval.
The application of generative artificial intelligence in video will be a key milestone. Sobey's first AI-native video production tool, with its controllable and integrated workflow, fully adapts to media process flows, aiming to create a new generation of intelligent production ecosystem.
