Overview

The AS20 intelligent storage unit is a combined high-capacity storage and intelligent analysis device that complements the high-density recording units. It does everything the SS20 does — shared storage for the REC-1026, REG-1024, and MSV555, and plug-and-play media exchange on open specifications — and adds on-board AI: a single device analyses 4 channels in real time, writing recognition results into the material's metadata for post-production to read.

Challenge

Recorded footage arrives in post as hours of unlabelled picture. Tagging it later means decoding it a second time, and by then the fast turnaround the shoot was recorded for has already passed.
